Guiding Principles

Every girl is a writer

Whether it’s a sentence, a drawing, a poem, or a list, all forms of expression are welcome and respected.

Mentors write too

Mentors are active participants. They write with the group to model creativity, presence, and openness.

Only positive feedback is shared

Participants say what they liked, what stood out, or what felt strong.

Sharing is always optional

Girls can choose whether or not to read their work aloud. Listening with full attention is equally powerful.

Process is more important than outcome

Writing is about discovery and expression. Every contribution matters.
